This page explains what happens to information collected through https://dairycottagepa.com. It covers the website only. Anything you tell us in the restaurant, over the phone, or through a third-party ordering service is not covered here.

What we collect

Analytics. We measure which pages are read and which buttons are pressed, so we know what to put on the menu and what to fix on the site. This is handled by Google Analytics and PostHog. Both are configured without persistent user profiles, so the measurements are counted but not tied to a person across visits. We record page views, which menu categories and items are opened, and whether an order button is pressed. We do not record what you type.

Ordering. If online ordering is enabled and you place an order, the name, phone number and delivery address you enter are sent to DoorDash so a driver can bring your food. We do not store payment details; we never see them. If you order through a link to DoorDash or SliceLife instead, everything from that point happens on their site under their policy.

Server logs. Our server records requests it answers, including the time, the page and an error reference if something goes wrong. Values that could identify you — phone numbers, email addresses and delivery addresses — are stripped before a log line is written.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information.
• We do not use it for advertising, and we run no ad networks.
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not build a profile of you between visits.

Other services this page loads

The contact page can show a map from Google, but it does not load one until you press “Show the map”. Until then no request reaches Google and no Google cookie is set. Once you press it, Google receives your IP address and sets its own cookies, as it would if you visited a map directly. Menu photographs are served from Sanity, our content system. Fonts and page assets are served by us.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Most browsers can block analytics scripts, and the site works normally with them blocked — no feature depends on being measured. If you would like to know what we hold about an order you placed, or would like it deleted, contact us and we will tell you what there is and remove what we are able to.

Changes

If this changes we will update the date at the top of the page. We do not keep a mailing list, so there is nowhere to notify you from.
